hi

this is my first post about the cb

i ve downloaded it from vb... org and try to install

i ve done everything what should i do and do step by step from the included readme file.

but doesnt work

this is what i do in my order:
1) upload the required files
2) import product-mgc_bitfield_custom.xml and product-mgc_chatbox.xml to products & plugins
3) import lang files
4) modify with your description the template files by adding some source code in directly places.

then set the groups and permissions. chatbox is set to be active and ... doesnt work.

i dont see this chatbox

can somebody help me?

It could be a problem of style. Some style miss some default variables.

Have you tested the differnt position possiblity to see if one works ?

yes, if i good understand in helpfile that the variavle which should call the cb is

and i was trying to put this in random places and always gots no chatbox

i put the $mgc_chatbox even into footer template and when i look into the source of rendered page by browser in place where i should saw the cb i vent nothing.

the one thing is interested. i have not see the place in the code where is the calling of clientscript/...mgc_ ... js

i ve deleted "additional template, where i place the additions" and make it again as new. (again adding your code to my templates) and ... nothing.

is any step which i should do to see the chatbox?

hmm, very weird, after all my problems now the CB is working ?!

prehaps something wrong with caching by server side :/
